Upcoming Events

Annual Meeting

Date: September 11-12, 2009
Location: Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, Grand Rapids
Registration: online or mail/fax form PDF

Pre-conference Roundtable: Technology in Mediation
Just ahead of registration, a group of students and mediators will discuss the use of technology in mediation. Join us if you can.

Advanced Mediation Training
In cases regarding insured claims, the negotiations are frequently all about money and between parties who often will never have an on-going relationship. In Friday’s segment we will learn about the two negotiations which occur in every mediation involving money (in business, divorce, tort or other disputes). Next, we will learn to develop strategies to effectively facilitate the flow of information, facilitate case or risk analysis, and facilitate movement.

In Saturday’s segment we will observe Mr. Little demonstrating his techniques and have the opportunity to practice them. Whether you serve as an advocate or a neutral, this interactive program will provide information and practical skills you can utilize immediately.
