The Alternative Dispute Resolution Section provides members of the State Bar of Michigan and the general public with creative leadership in the dispute resolution field. The Section fosters diversity in the profession; develops and offers educational programs; promotes access to dispute resolution alternatives; monitors legislative and judicial activity; and provides policy guidance, information, and technical assistance on ethical issues, dispute resolution techniques, and training design. The Section produces publications which promote wider use and excellence in the provision of alternative problem-solving techniques and dispute resolution services. The Section’s Purpose Statement appears in Section 2 of its Bylaws.
Membership in the Section is open to all members of the State Bar of Michigan. Affiliate status is open to any individual with an interest in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Statements made on behalf of the Section do not necessarily reflect the views of the State Bar of Michigan.
