Twenty-six low-income seniors received wills, powers of attorney for finances, and health care powers of attorney through the pro bono efforts of these attorneys.
Volunteers included Evan Burkholder, Vichit Chea, Ray Coppiellie, William Coughlin, James Dottavio, Crystal Flood, Norma Gant, Bill Grier, Louise Kirk, Frank MacKenzie,Tim Smith, Robert Mossel, Raphael Richmond, David Witten, and Lesley Yulkowski. Many attorneys find the clinic an enjoyable way to meet pro bono requirements. Some of these attorneys have participated in four of these estate planning clinics.
The Estate Planning Clinic is an initiative of Elder Law of Michigan in connection with Ford Motor Company’s Accelerated Action Days. Elder Law of Michigan plans to continue offering Estate Planning Clinics to low-income seniors in the Detroit Area with Ford Motor Company and LeClairRyan law firm.
