Roundtable Discussion
ACES is excited to sponsor a discussion of sports and entertainment property valuation and financing. The presentations will focus on current issues in valuing ongoing entertainment based businesses, as well as individual entertainment based products. Specifically, the meeting will have a section devoted to creating value in professional sports franchises, and a section devoted to financing and managing film projects.

Eddie Rubin, co-president/producer, along with partner Danny Mooney of Deep Blue Pictures, LLC, will discuss the role of producer in managing and financing film projects. Deep Blue was founded in 2007 when its principals were still studying film at U of M. They have since worked continuously on a number of projects, including short films, such as Fingers with Ben Daniels (son of Jeff Daniels); music videos (Peter Zora/Kanye West/Big Sean); and features, including and Art House (with Iggy Pop), Mooz-lum (with Danny Glover), Starlight and Superfish, and AWOL (Liam Hensworth). Mooney also has acting credits in, among others, Whip it (Drew Barrymore) and the recently released Ides of March (George Clooney).
Additionally, ACES will have a special update on the Detroit Design Festival.
