It is easy to become active in the Children's Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan!

Committee Involvement

Education Committee. Plans training and events of the Section.
Legislative Committee.  Conducts analysis of policy and legislation, develops policy positions for vote, and raises concerns that may be addressed through policy initiatives or reform.
Amicus Committee. Monitors appellate decisions impacting child welfare law, reports to section on amicus requests, and facilitates brief writing.
Bylaw Committee. Reviews bylaws and recommends changes. Implements bylaw changes in accord with proper procedure.
Publications Committee. Plans and organizes section literature.
