Agenda: SB 615 Require criminal background checks for licensees, employees, and certain contract workers at child care centers and day care centers; SB 607 Revise penalties for failing to report certain sex offender registration information to police agency and require report upon vacating residence; SB 606 Revise sentencing guidelines for crime of failing to report sex offender registration information to police agency to reflect increased penalties.

8/24 House Education
Agenda: SB 129 Prohibit individual convicted of child sexual assault from residing within 1 mile of a school or entering upon school property as condition of probation, and provide minimum term of probation; SB 601 Require criminal background checks on all school personnel and prohibit persons convicted of certain offenses from being allowed to work in schools; SB 609 Restrict teacher tenure act protection for teachers convicted of certain crimes; SB 611 Enact sentencing guidelines for crime of school employee failing to report conviction for listed offense.

HB 5096 Taxation; other; specific tax on commercial rental property; create. Creates new act. TIE BAR WITH: HB 5097'05

HB 5097 Property tax; exemptions; commercial rental property; exempt, revise definition of additions and losses, and eliminate certain exemptions. Amends sec. 34d of 1893 PA 206 (MCL 211.34d) & adds sec. 7jj. TIE BAR WITH: HB 5096'05

HB 5098 Single business tax; credit; corporate farm credit; eliminate, subject limited liability companies to small business credit income disqualifiers and other amendments. Amends secs. 3, 9, 22a, 31, 36, 38e & 71 of 1975 PA 228 (MCL 208.3 et seq.) & adds secs. 32, 79 & 79a.
