Probate; trusts; new uniform principal and income act; enact.
Creates new act.
The legislation was drafted by the Probate and Estate Planning Section
of the State Bar in cooperation with the Michigan Banker’s Association.
The legislation deals with the determination of income and principal for
estate and trust accounting purposes and brings Michigan legislation in
conformity with the prudent investor rule adopted as part of the Estates
and Protected Individuals Code effective April 2000.
