Checklists for Appointment of a Fiduciary A checklist, useful to attorneys, judges, and probate court staff, for each of the following proceedings: appointment of guardian of a legally incapacitated person; conservator of an adult; and guardian of a minor. Adult Guardianship Proceedings: Instructions for Petitioner (2nd ed. 1996) An eight-page pamphlet with model forms to inform a prospective petitioner when guardianship is appropriate and the process of appointment. Michigan Handbook for Guardians Ad Litem and Appointed Counsel (1st ed. 1996) Addresses the complex roles of a court appointed guardian ad litem and attorney in adult guardianship and conservator cases. Handbook for Guardians of Adults (2nd ed. 1995) Questions and answers for family members, professionals, and volunteers serving as a court appointed guardian. The information focuses on powers of a guardian, and duties owed to the individual and to the court. Project Dignity: Resource Materials (1994) A collection of articles on aging, decision-making, mental health, prescription drugs, and abuse, used in training volunteers to serve as money manager, representative payee, guardian, and conservator. Handbook for Conservators of Adults (publication date 1997) A companion volume to the Handbook for Guardians, for family members, professionals, and volunteers. Funds to print and distribute this publication are being provided by the Michigan State Bar Foundation. Changes and Choices: Legal Rights of Older People (14th ed. 1996) Directed at older adults themselves, this book covers an array of topics including guardianship and alternatives. First published in 1982, more than 700,000 copies have been distributed. An appendix includes forms for advance directives, organ donation, and the Michigan Statutory Will.
