Lunchtime Webinar: Environmental Litigation and Administrative Practice Committee and the Energy, Sustainability, and Natural Resources Committee. This Webinar will focus on Administrative Law Principles that arise during the national resources permitting process and litigation.  Professor Don LeDuc, who literally “wrote the book” on Michigan Administrative Law  will provide a general overview of Michigan's administrative laws and regulations, from submittal of the permit application through permit issuance.  Presenters will address managing the administrative record, the scope of agency review, defining the contested case, and the role of the administrative law hearing.

Dan Ettinger and Dennis Donohue will discuss administrative laws from a practical perspective and in the context of the permit review process and related litigation.  As part of their presentation, the Eagle Mines matter will be discussed as a case study of the complex, multi-court and multi-agency nature of a permit challenge.

Space is limited.
