MICHIGAN SAFE DRINKING WATER ACT
1976 PA 399, as Amended, and the Administrative Rules
Rule 206. That portion of a
contested case hearing in which testimony and evidence is to be taken may be
referred to a hearing officer who shall be designated and authorized by the
director to preside at the hearing. The
hearing officer shall hear the evidence and prepare a record of the proceedings
and a proposal for decision, including findings of fact and conclusions of law. The record of the proceedings and proposal
for decision shall be filed at the office of the director as soon as possible
after completion of the hearing. A copy
of the proposal for decision shall be served by certified mail on all other
parties to the proceedings.
