Oakland County Bar Association. Group served: Members of the Oakland County Bar Association only. Service available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. by calling (248) 858-1585.
Document Delivery from Commercial Vendors
Lexis-Nexis. Company offers on demand services for individual documents to non-subscribers. Online service allows attorneys to purchase individual cases and other documents from the Lexis-Nexis web site. Payment must be made by credit card. The service is available under the "Products and Services" tab on the Lexis-Nexis web site.
WESTLAW. Company offers on demand services for individual documents to non-subscribers. The "WestDoc" program permits attorneys to obtain individual cases and other documents from the Westlaw system for a per document fee; non-subscribers may also access Westlaw's Keycite service for a per transaction fee. Payment must be made by credit card if you do not have a Westlaw account. Visit the Westlaw web site or call (800) WESTLAW to use the service or to request additional information.
Lawyers Weekly. Selected court opinions can be obtained from Lawyers Weekly. The opinions cost $1 per page with a maximum charge of $25 per opinion. To get an opinion via fax, call (517) 374-6200 or (800) 766-0529, or place your order on their web site.
Access to LEXIS & Westlaw

LEXIS & Westlaw Contracts for Small Firms and Solo Practitioners
Both companies offer small firm and solo practitioner programs that are more affordable than standard firm contracts.
Lexis-Nexis. Lexis-Nexis offers a flat rate, unlimited use program called MVP Advantage that enables small firms and solo practitioners to mix and match state, federal or area of law specialty libraries. Access to MVP Advantage can be either internet or software based. Contracts are annual. Call (800) 356-6548 for details.
Westlaw. Westlaw offers flat rate pricing to solo practitioners and firms with 2-15 attorneys with its WESTLAW PRO contracts. WESTLAW PRO provides access to a topical or state specific databases; contracts are month to month or annual. Call (800) WESTLAW for details.
