Witness Tampering in Civil and Criminal Intimate Partner Violence Cases

Nationally recognized speaker and domestic violence advocate Sarah Buel will draw on her 32 years of experience working with battered women and abused children within the legal system to speak on topics related to domestic violence. Subjects will include compassionate representation, barriers to escaping violence, and perpetrator accountability.

Speaker: Professor Sarah Buel, (BA, JD, Harvard), clinical professor at the University of Texas and co-director of the University of Texas Domestic Violence Clinic

Date: Monday, March 15, 2010, 1:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m.
Location: Thomas M. Cooley Law School campuses. Live lecture from Ann Arbor campus; and interactive telecast to Auburn Hills, Grand Rapids, and Lansing campuses.
Cost: Training is free; drop-ins allowed but registration highly encouraged
