HIPAA Privacy Rule Preemption Analysis Matrix (updated 12/02)

    The State Bar of Michigan, Health Care Law Section and Michigan Society of Healthcare Attorneys are pleased to announce completion of the update to the Michigan HIPAA Preemption Matrix for the August modifications to the HIPAA Privacy regulations.

      Members of the SBM Health Care Law Section and Michigan Society of Healthcare Attorneys may obtain a copy of the Matrix by clicking the link below and then entering the password supplied via e-mail and letter:

    To order a copy:

      Members of the SBM Health Care Law Section or Michigan Society of Healthcare Attorneys may obtain your first hard copy of the Matrix from the State Bar of Michigan at the nominal fee of $35 (tax included) to cover the cost of printing, postage, and processing.

      If you are not a Health Care Law Section or Michigan Society member, and you purchased the original matrix, you may purchase the updated matrix for $50, plus tax. Just indicate that you purchased the original on the order form.

      First time purchases may purchase the updated matrix for $250, plus tax. Additional copies are available for $50 plus tax.
