Filing of Applications (summary)

• Continued Prosecution Application (CPA) under 37 C.F.R. ß 1.53(d)

  • Immediate prior application may be filed before, on or after June 8, 1995*
  • No C-I-P permitted
  • Same application number/file jacket as prior application
  • No ìfirst sentenceî reference to prior application

    • Front of file jacket will not show CPA continuing data
  • Will be processed entirely by Group
  • May be filed by facsimile
