Meeting Minutes
September 14, 2001 Members Present: Moment of Silence for the victims of Tuesday's tragic events. Ms. Monaco called the meeting to order at approximately 9:55 a.m. The minutes of the 2000 Annual Meeting were approved. Mr. Gorzalski reported that in the past year, we were able to get the website up and running. The web site has also been immediately updated for minutes as they are published. Mr. Gorzalski and Ms. Mann are scheduled to meet on Monday, September 17, with Eastern Michigan University to discuss the proposal for online classes. Mr. Gorzalski presented the slate of officers for the coming year: Chairperson—John Gorzalski The slate was unanimously approved. The group discussed the possibility of adding council members. We can have up to 4 at-large members. We can also consider exploring membership recruitment for special activities. Treasurer's Report: Ms. Kimbro stated that the cash balance at the end of June amounted to $7,919.77. The July and August statements have not yet been received. Ms. Kimbro said that she will follow up with the State Bar on these statements. Treasurer's report was accepted. Ms. Monaco presented her annual report. There have been positive changes and some constant goals, including enlarging membership and participation. Ms. Monaco made the official presentation of the gavel to Mr. Gorzalski. Mr. Gorzalski said that he was looking forward to the upcoming year. Meeting adjourned at 10:15 a.m. |
