The Catholic Lawyers Society is one of Michigan's most highly regarded, progressive, and active special interest bar associations. The Society's primary objective is to promote the social, intellectual, and spiritual welfare of its members. Society activities include: participation in the annual Red Mass, special Lenten and Advent masses, third Thursday of the month lunch masses at Sts. Peter and Paul, Focus:HOPE volunteer activities, a summer time family picnic, and retreats in the fall. Throughout the year, a speaker's forum addresses topics of professional and legal significance and provides the opportunity, afterwards, to share the Society's special camaraderie. The Society also addresses many of today's most complex social and moral challenges. It regularly provides amicus curiae briefs in administrative, legislative, and judicial proceedings that impact issues at the core of the Society's values. The Society has prepared and disseminated educational videos and cassettes and on going programs provide many forms of support and enrichment activities for various archdiocesan schools.
