The
Hispanic Bar Association of Michigan (HBAM) was formed in 1991 to
cultivate the science of jurisprudence, promote reforms in the law,
facilitate the administration of justice, and elevate the standard of
integrity, honor, and courtesy in the legal profession in the State
of Michigan.
The
Hispanic Bar Association of Michigan specifically seeks to:
a.
Assist and counsel Hispanic community-based organizations and other needed
Hispanic programs;
b. Serve as an advocate for greater representation of Hispanic attorneys
at different levels of the State and Federal judiciary in the State of Michigan;
and
c. Advocate for greater representation of Hispanic attorneys in
the various standing committees and task forces under the jurisdiction
of the U.S. District Court, State Bar of Michigan, and Michigan Supreme
Court
