About Us

The Marquette County Bar Association (MCBA) was formally established in 1890. Today, the MCBA is comprised of over 100 lawyers. Our members have experience in numerous areas of the law and practice in courts throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The MCBA’s mission is to maintain the highest professional standards and competence among attorneys, to promote collegiality and camaraderie among attorneys, to improve the administration of justice, and to provide law-related service and education to our members and the public.

The MCBA takes part in a number of activities that support its mission. These activities include: volunteering to host a monthly program answering the legal questions of the public, offering legal resources to our members and other interested parties, and hosting social events for members of the local legal community and the public.
