    St. Clair County Bar Association was chartered to represent the interests of the legal profession in St. Clair County, promote improvements in the administration of justice, improve relations between the legal profession and the public, promote and preserve collegiality, civility, professionalism and high standards of integrity, honor and courtesy among lawyers who practice before the courts, and to promote impartiality and fairness in the administration of justice and among lawyers in St. Clair County.

Citizens of St. Clair County, age 60 and over, who cannot afford to hire an attorney may be eligible to obtain legal services in certain civil matters from Lakeshore Legal Aid. The office can advise residents regarding legal practices and the law as well as provide legal representation in civil cases for low income citizens.
