Daniel D. Quick Sworn in as SBM Representative Assembly Chair

Daniel D. Quick, of Troy, has been sworn in as the chair of the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly for 2015-2016. Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert P. Young Jr. officiated at the Oct. 8 ceremony, held during the SBM Annual Meeting at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.

The 150-member Representative Assembly is the final policy-making body of the State Bar. The Michigan Supreme Court created it in 1971 at the request of the SBM Board of Commissioners in order to increase geographical representation and member participation in State Bar policy. Mr. Quick represents Oakland County.

Mr. Quick serves as member and practice department manager at Dickinson Wright’s Troy office. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation, antitrust and trade regulation, alternative dispute resolution, and sports and entertainment law.

He has served as chair of the SBM Committee on Civil Procedure and Courts, as a fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation, on the Oakland County Bar Association Board of Directors, president of the Oakland County Bar Foundation, as an executive committee member and master of the Oakland County Inns of Court, and on the executive committee of the board of directors of the Federal Bar Association, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.

He graduated with honors from the University of Michigan in 1990 and earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1992.
