Paralegal Section to Host Annual Day of Education

The State Bar of Michigan Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section will present the 2017 Day of Education from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, at Haworth Inn & Conference Center, located at 225 College Ave. in Holland.

The Day of Education will feature seminars on the following topics: “Personal Injury/General Liability I,” Personal Injury/General Liability II,” “Family Practice,” “General Business Litigation,” “Cottage Law,” “Technology,” “Corporate Law” and “Practice Management.”

The Day of Education will be preceded by a Meet & Greet party from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday at Butch’s Dry Dock, located at 44 E. 8th St. in Holland. The Meet & Greet is $10 for those not attending the Day of Education.

The cost to attend the Day of Education, which includes entrance to the Meet & Greet and a continental breakfast, is $35 for SBM Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section members, $45 for non-members, and $20 for students, if registered by May 10. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Haworth Inn & Conference Center. Reserve your room by April 28 to receive the special room rate of $119 plus tax.

The Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section, an affiliate section of the State Bar of Michigan, was established in 1990.
