ADR Section to Host Teleseminar

The Alternative Dispute Section of the State Bar of Michigan will host a teleseminar about child custody evaluations from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23. Registration is required and dial-in instructions will be provided on participants’ registration confirmations.

The teleseminar will be composed of a panel discussion featuring moderator, Robert “Bob” E. L. Wright, of the Peace Talks PLC in Grand Rapids, and panelists Ben Burgess, of Fountain Hill Center in Grand Rapids, and Connie Thacker, of Thacker Sleight PC in Grand Rapids.

Participants will learn what makes a good comprehensive child custody evaluation, when a child custody evaluation is appropriate and how it can be incorporated into the alternative dispute process, and common issues in custody disputes: domestic violence, move-aways, child abuse, child sexual abuse, and parental alienation.

The teleseminar costs $10 for Alternative Dispute Resolution Section and Family Law Section members and $40 for non-section members.
