State Bar of Michigan Elects Officers for 2000-2001

Thomas J. Ryan of Sylvan Lake has been elected President of the State Bar of Michigan for the 2000-2001 Bar year. Ryan, who is currently President-elect of the State Bar, will be sworn in as President of the 33,000-member organization at the Friday, September 22 luncheon of the Bar's 65th Annual Meeting in Detroit.

Also serving as officers of the State Bar for 2000-2001 will be President-elect Bruce W. Neckers of Grand Rapids (currently Vice President), Vice President Reginald M. Turner of Detroit (currently Secretary), Secretary Scott M. Brinkmeyer of Grand Rapids (currently Treasurer) and Treasurer Nancy J. Diehl of Detroit.

All officers will assume their new responsibilities at the close of the State Bar's Annual Meeting, which will be held September 20-22, 2000 at the Cobo Center in downtown Detroit.

Ryan is a sole practitioner in Sylvan Lake. Neckers is an attorney with the firm of Rhoades, McKee, Boer, Goodrich & Titta in Grand Rapids. Turner is an member with Clark Hill, PLC in Detroit. Brinkmeyer is an attorney with Mika, Meyers, Beckett & Jones, PLC in Grand Rapids. Diehl is an attorney at the Wayne County Prosecuting Attorneys Office in Detroit.
