State Bar Hosts Law Day 2001 "Idea" Workshop

12/15/00

The State Bar of Michigan will host the 3rd annual Law Day Idea-Generating Workshop on Wednesday, January 10, 2001 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the State Bar of Michigan in Lansing.

Law Day chairpersons, presidents, and executive directors of local and special purpose bar associations are invited to come and share their successful Law Day events and programs, as well as brainstorm ideas about which projects work and which ones don't.

People who attend the event will get the facts on Law Day 2001 state essay contest deadlines, suggested "should" questions for the Law Day essay theme, as well as new ideas for Law Day projects. The theme for Law Day 2001 is "Protecting the Best Interests of Our Children." The State Bar's annual Law Day luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at the Lansing Center in downtown Lansing.

Anyone interested in the Law Day Idea-Generating Workshop should contact Sue Oudsema at (800)-968-1442 ext. 6423 or by e-mail, soudsema@mail.michbar.org.
