Open Position in the Access to Justice Department
5/26/00 The State Bar of Michigan is seeking a leader to work on its seven-member Access to Justice team. The Director of Special Projects will serve as the staff counsel to the State Bar’s Pro Bono Involvement Committee. Tasks will include: maintaining resources concerning pro bono participation, brokering relationships between individuals and organizations to facilitate pro bono work and awareness of the need, and making policy recommendations. The person who fills this position will be a team player with at least two years experience in civil legal services and a demonstrated ability to develop projects. S/he will have the imagination and leadership skills to work with a diverse group of stakeholders, including Bar committees, to produce meaningful results. A commitment to access to justice and strong oral/written skills are required. The position reports to the Associate Executive Director for Access to Justice. Salary: $30,000-50,000 DOE.
