State Bar Announces Election Results for Judicial Tenure Commission, Representative Assembly and Young Lawyers Section

The Board of Tellers have verified election results for the Judicial Tenure Commission, Representative Assembly and Young Lawyers Section-Executive Council. The results are as follows:

Hon. Pamela R. Harwood of Detroit was elected to the Judicial Tenure Commission by a majority of votes for a three-year term starting January 1, 2001 and expiring December 31, 2003. Harwood won the seat over five other contenders from Detroit, Romulus, Dearborn, Pontiac, and Hazel Park.

There were uncontested elections in 25 Representative Assembly circuits. Elected were:

In the only contested race for the 2nd Circuit (Berrien), Robert N. Feldman of Niles and Michael D. Marrs of St. Joseph won election over Hon. John T. Hammond of St. Joseph.

Elections were also held for the Young Lawyers Section-Executive Council. In uncontested races for two-year terms expiring at the close of the Annual Meeting in 2002, elected were: District 2-Troy natives Denise P. Hickey and Darryl K. Segars District 3-Phillip T. Carroll of Brighton

In the only contested race for District 1, Donald P. DeNault, Jr. of Detroit, Evanne L. Dietz of Taylor, Ellen C. Padesky and Todd A. Richards, both of Detroit, won election over Detroiter Stacy L. King.
