State Bar hires Director - Information Services

The State Bar of Michigan has hired William M. Kramer, III as Director-Information Services. As director, Kramer will report to Dean P. Tucker, Assistant Executive Director-Operations. Together they have the primary responsibility for administrating and implementing the State Bar's information needs. These responsibilities include performing software and hardware updates, installing network servers, workstations, printers, and administrating network security. Kramer also coordinates user training and system troubleshooting. Some of Kramer's first projects will include working to broadcast video of State Bar events on the Internet and implementing a networked fax and messaging system for State Bar employees. Before joining the State Bar, Kramer worked at Bill Kramer Marketing for nine years in Information Systems Management and was primarily responsible for network administration, user training and system troubleshooting. Kramer is a 1998 graduate of Michigan State University's School of Business. In 1999, he became a Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) and eventually hopes to become a Certified Novell Engineer (CNE). Kramer enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his four-year-old son, Kiv, two-year-old daughter, Allie, and wife, Suzie. William and Suzie keep active by down hill skiing and golfing on a couple's league. The four of them enjoy spending time outdoors, swimming and visiting the Upper Peninsula.
