State Bar Young Lawyers Section To Celebrate Women, Black History With Speeches, Performances

In celebration of Women's and Black History months, the State Bar of Michigan's Young Lawyers Section will present a program entitled "Lessons For My Sisters" on Thursday, March 1, 2001 at the Skyline Club in Southfield.

This program will celebrate the professional and personal accomplishments of diverse women attorneys. The program will feature three speakers, each detailing the road she took toward her current position in the field of law. There will also be three creative expression performances by women attorneys. Judge Wade McCree will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

Program cosponsors include the Association of Black Judges of Michigan, Wolverine Bar Association, D. Augustus Straker Bar Association, Women's Bar Association?the Oakland Region of Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan?Wayne Region.
