Clean out those closets before heading to the Annual Meeting of the State Bar of Michigan in Lansing, September 12 to 14. The Young Lawyers Section of the Bar, will be holding a "Lawsuits" clothing drive for new and slightly used business and business casual attire to coincide with the event.

Clothing may be donated at the Young Lawyers Section booth number 37, located in the exhibit hall at the Lansing Center. Items can be dropped off all day on Wednesday September 12, and Thursday, September 13. On Friday September 14, clothing will be collected until 1 p.m.

Young Lawyers Section Council member and organizer Alexandra Matish said the donations will benefit the Lansing chapter of the Volunteers of America, a national non profit organization that provides local human service programs throughout the country. The clothes will be distributed to individuals needing career wear as they begin new jobs and create new lives for themselves.

The section that donates the most clothing will be announced and awarded at the end of the Annual Meeting.
