Legal Assistants to Host Program on Paperless Court

9/4/01

It has been estimated that all federal courts will have electronic filing systems in place by the end of 2004. To address the issue of how Michigan Court systems are stacking up with the rest of the country, the Legal Assistants Section of the State Bar of Michigan will be presenting a status report on paperless courts during the State Bar of Michigan's Annual Meeting, at the Lansing Center, on September 14, 2001. The program will be at 10 a.m. on Friday in banquet room 4.

The program will be presented by Dan Voss, a Management Analyst in the Trial Court Services Division, State Court Administrative Office, Michigan Supreme Court. He has over 20 years of experience in Michigan Courts, and serves as the lead analyst on several court automation projects.

Also participating, will be Arita Sims, a computer applications consultant. She is the owner of A.B. Consulting of Michigan, which provides software consulting, training, and support services to attorneys and other professionals. For more information please contact Kathy Ann Blunck at (231) 946-2700 or kab@runningwise.com.
