Disaster Legal Services Training Program scheduled for March 12

2/13/02

Michigan attorneys will have an opportunity to attend a free training program on Tuesday, March 12, 2002 on how to handle legal questions that arise after a tragic and disastrous event such as the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon.

This Disaster Legal Services Training Program has been organized by the State Bar of Michigan's Young Lawyers Section and the barristers of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The training will be offered from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the law offices of Garan Lucow Miller, 1000 Woodbridge Street, Detroit.

All Michigan lawyers and law students are encouraged to attend. The training will be worthwhile for attorneys interested in helping those affected by disasters through their role in the legal profession. Please contact Young Lawyers Executive Council members Stacey L. King at (313) 446-5532 or Angela Brown at (517) 484 8282 to hold your spot.
