A big "thank you" was in order for Elaine H. Charney who has served as chair of the State Bar of Michigan Annual Meeting for the past four years. State Bar President Bruce W. Neckers delivered the thanks at a ceremony in Lansing, June 14, 2002 and presented her with a framed resolution honoring her dedication, great attitude and tireless energy. Charney is retiring and relocating with her husband, David, to Arlington Virginia and will pursue a second career in Washington D.C. in the Federal Government's Transportation Security Administration. "Elaine Charney has really dedicated herself to the Bar for several years. She has worked tirelessly with our Annual Meeting and she will be truly missed. We hope that her years in Washington are as successful as the ones she spent in Lansing," Neckers said.
