State Bar's e-Journal Receives National Recognition

7/24/02

The State Bar of Michigan has received the 2002 Silver Excel Award for its daily electronic publication, the e-Journal. The prestigious Excel Award is presented by the Society of National Association Publications, and recognizes excellence in the field of association publishing. The e-Journal competed against more than 900 entries, winning the second place award for "General Excellence—Electronic Newsletters". It was judged on design, editorial content, reader-friendliness, and usefulness of links in a newsletter that is e-mailed to members.

The e-Journal is an e-mail publication sent every day to members of the State Bar of Michigan. It includes case summaries, ethics opinions, information on bar events, and more. The mission of the e-Journal is to provide valuable information to members in a quick and easily accessible format. The e-Journal is provided to members as part of their member dues at no additional charge.

"The State Bar of Michigan is honored to be named a recipient of the Excel award", said John Berry, Executive Director. "Winning this award is a tremendous honor and confirms our dedication to assisting our members in their daily practice."
