Marian Frane has joined the State Bar of Michigan as manager of financial services in the Finance and Administration Division. She started her new position on March 13, 2002, and will be responsible for supervising financial transactions, running the general ledger, providing financial reports, and serving as team leader to the financial staff.

A CPA with over 12 years of experience in accounting, Frane has served as director of finance at the Municipal Employees' Retirement System of Michigan, director of accounting and budgeting at Meridian Township, as well as in other accounting assignments.

An Okemos resident, Frane graduated from Michigan State University, and is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association, the Michigan Association of CPAs, and the Michigan Municipal Finance Officers Association. She received the Certificate of Excellence for Financial Reporting from the Government Financial Officers of America for the comprehensive financial reports she prepared.
