Gregory P. Conyers has been appointed Program Administrator - Justice Initiatives at the State Bar of Michigan. His chief responsibilities will be to coordinate and implement justice projects and support communications on a wide range of State Bar led justice issues.

Conyers will assist the Pro Bono Involvement Committee by proposing policy recommendations and working with volunteers to implement committee decisions. He will also support the Michigan Litigation Assistance Partnership Program, and the Legal Services Advocacy Steering Committee by assisting in advocacy efforts. In addition, he will collaborate with legal service programs and other related entities to educate the media, the public and legal, corporate and government leaders about the importance of access to justice in a democratic society.

Conyers was previously Director of e-Community Development, Think Detroit, where he helped build the capacity for online participation by young people in Detroit community issues. Before that, he was a Planning/Research Associate for the Michigan League for Human Services. His role as a health care policy analyst allowed him to represent low-income consumers of health care services at the legislative and administrative level.

Conyers, a 1987 graduate of Michigan State University's James Madison College, resides in East Lansing.
