Lawyers Section To Host Financial Planning Seminar
7/16/03 Financial matters like sound investing strategies, retirement planning, and reducing personal debt will be the focus of a seminar organized by the State Bar's Young Lawyers Section (YLS) on Tuesday, July 29, 2003. This annual event will take place from 6:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the Sheraton Inn in Ann Arbor, located at 3200 Boardwalk. Financial planning experts Richard Bloom and Douglas Moffat will be the featured speakers. Bloom, co-owner and operator of Bloom Asset Management, LLC, hosts "The Rick Bloom Show" on the Michigan Talk Radio Network. He hosted the "Money Talk" show on WXYT 1270-AM for 16 years and was a daily financial columnist for the Detroit News for more than ten years. Moffat has been an agent and financial representative with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network since 1997. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions at the seminar and may bring personal documents, portfolios, and investment information to discuss their individual financial planning needs. The event is free and food and beverages will be provided. Registration is limited and must be completed by July 25, 2003.
