Legal Assistants Section Offers Scholarships

The Legal Assistants Section of the State Bar of Michigan is offering scholarships ranging from $250 to $2,000 to individuals or high school seniors who are interested in, or currently enrolled in a school of advanced education pursuing a legal assistant degree. All applicants must be Michigan residents. Details of the 2003 scholarship information are available online at www.michbar.org under Sections.

Last year, the Legal Assistants Section awarded $4,000 to students in Michigan with the help of the Michigan State Bar Foundation, which facilitates contributions to a scholarship fund. Those who would like to contribute to legal education training may make a contribution to the Michigan State Bar Foundation designating the Legal Assistants Section. Checks should be made payable to the Michigan State Bar Foundation.
