Livingston Appointed to ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs

William E. Livingston has been appointed by the American Bar Association to a Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs for a one-year term beginning in August 2003. Livingston is a psychologist and addictions specialist who has been coordinating the State Bar of Michigan's Lawyers and Judges Assistance Program since 1999.

His role in the ABA committee will involve educating the legal profession about alcoholism, other forms of chemical dependencies, stress, depression, and other mental health problems. He will also assist and support all bar associations and lawyer assistance programs in developing and maintaining methods of providing effective solutions for recovery.
