SBM Newsletter Keeps Members Updated

7/16/03

More than 5,000 members of the State Bar of Michigan and legal community have taken advantage of a free resource that helps them stay current on state and federal law-related news. These members subscribe to the electronic State Bar of Michigan Members Newsletter, which provides them with a daily summary of law-related news articles, editorials and columns carried in major local, state and national media.

Summaries in the newsletter generally focus on precedent-setting state and federal court rulings, prominent ongoing Michigan and national cases, new laws and legally significant ongoing legislative and executive undertakings, legal statistics and major research findings, major events in the legal profession, lawyer-related human interest stories, and major stories from law enforcement agencies. Each news item is synthesized into a short summary and a link is provided to the full-text article.

The SBM newsletter is compiled each morning and sent by e-mail to subscribers around noon each day. To sign up for the SBM Newsletter, send an e-mail to sbmnewsletter@mail.michbar.org.
