Past President's Dinner Raises $100,000 for ATJ

12/9/03

A benefit dinner hosted by State Bar immediate past president Reginald M. Turner in Detroit recently raised nearly $100,000 for the Access to Justice (ATJ) Fund. Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm joined over 160 guests at the Charles J. Wright Museum of African American History to honor Turner for his leadership and commitment to ATJ. Turner asked that, in lieu of the traditional private event to celebrate his Presidential term, the dinner be held as a benefit event for the Access to Justice Fund which supports civil legal services for low-income people in Michigan.
