State Bar Announces Results of Judicial Tenure Commission, Representative Assembly, and Young Lawyers Section Elections

The State Bar appointed Board of Tellers has verified the results for the Judicial Tenure Commission, Representative Assembly, and Young Lawyers Section Executive Council. The results are as follows:

Hon. Jeanne Stempien of Detroit was elected to the Judicial Tenure Commission in an uncontested election for a three-year term beginning January 1, 2004, and expiring December 31, 2006.

There were elections in 16 Representative Assembly circuits. Elected were:

2nd Judicial Circuit (Berrien)-Colleen M. Cullitan, John Dewane.

3rd Judicial Circuit (Wayne)- John A. Cothorn, Douglas Hamel, Katherine A. Kakish, Julia A. Perkins, Michael J. Riordan, Robert W. Spada, John E. Stempfle, Stephen M. Taratuta, Francisco J. Villarruel.

4th Judicial Circuit (Jackson)- David R. Lady.

6th Judicial Circuit (Oakland)- Michael D. Elkins, Kirsten E. Gramzow, David L. Haron, Lisa B. Kirsch-Satawa, Sheldon G. Larky, James Patterson, Sharon Noll Smith, Mark L. Teicher. 7th Judicial Circuit (Genesee)-Linda A. Pohly.

8th Judicial Circuit (Ionia and Montcalm Counties)-Thomas Chadwick.

9th Judicial Circuit (Kalamazoo)-Gary R. Peterson.

14th Judicial Circuit (Muskegon)-Shawn P. Davis.

16th Judicial Circuit (Macomb)-Carl E. Chioini, Thomas C. Rombach.

17th Judicial Circuit (Kent)- Michael A. Zagaroli.

20th Judicial Circuit (Ottawa)-Nelson P. Miller.

23rd Judicial Circuit (Iosco and Oscoda Counties)-Donna J. Lehl.

29th Judicial Circuit (Clinton and Gratiot Counties)-Brian A. Ameche.

30th Judicial Circuit (Ingham)-Meredith A. Jagutis, Linda L. Widener.

32nd Judicial Circuit (Gogebic and Ontonagon Counties)-Michael K. Pope.

35th Judicial Circuit (Shiawassee)-Daniel J. Loomis.

Elections were also held for the Young Lawyers Section Executive Council. Elected in uncontested races for two-year terms expiring at the close of the Annual Meeting in 2005 were:

District 1 (Wayne and Macomb Counties)-Faizah Shabazz.

District 2 (Oakland)-Ginta D. Kukainis.

District 3 (All other counties)-Jeff Kirkey.
