State Bar YLS Seeks Volunteers for "House Build"

8/4/04

The State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section (YLS) is looking for volunteers for its annual Habitat for Humanity 'House Build' event.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 21, 2004, from 9:00 a.m. until noon at two houses that are next to each other (on a corner) at 718 Smith Ave. and 1701 S. Rundle Ave. in Lansing.

Volunteers will help with dry walling work, insulation installation, and other projects. Habitat for Humanity will provide all tools for the 'house build' and YLS will host a pizza lunch at noon.

"It is a great way to meet other young lawyers and to do something for the good of your community," said YLS Secretary-Treasurer Ginta McNally, who adds that all volunteers are welcome.

To volunteer for the 'House Build', contact Robert Fergan at rfergan@brinkshofer.com or (734) 302-6036, Joel McGormley at mcgormleyj@michigan.gov or (517)335-3557, or Ginta McNally at gmcnally@priceheneveld.com or (616) 949-9610.
