Lawyers Swap Briefcases for Toolboxes in Week-Long Habitat Building Blitz

Lawyers, legal assistants, and other volunteers have been working hard in Detroit this week erecting a ranch house at 3722 Tillman Street for the Jimmy Carter Work Project 2005. Also known as Legal House, the building is sponsored by the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. It will be home to Dana Rhodes, a single mother of two. Legal House is one of 31 Habitat for Humanity Houses being built in Detroit during the June 19 –24 blitz. Law firms and individual lawyers also donated $75,000.
