Bar Leaders Tour Upper Peninsula

11/21/05

State Bar of Michigan President Thomas W. Cranmer (left) led a four-member State Bar team on an Upper Peninsula tour last month that included stops in Sault St. Marie, Escanaba, Iron Mountain, Marquette, and Houghton. Mr. Cranmer was joined by the chairperson of the Bar's Representative Assembly, Lori A. Buiteweg, and State Bar of Michigan Executive Director John T. Berry. The tour provided local Upper Peninsula bar associations and the public an opportunity to meet the person leading the 37,500-member organization, and focused on the Bar's efforts to protect the public, support its members, and promote the administration of justice.
