State Bar of Michigan Deputy Regulation Counsel, Victoria Kremski, has been appointed to a three-year term on the American Bar Association (ABA) Standing Committee on Client Protection. The Committee's mission is to develop and implement client protection mechanisms, including programs that reimburse clients for financial losses arising from lawyer misappropriation of funds.
The Committee's jurisdiction also includes unauthorized practice of law issues. The Committee sponsors educational programs, provides consultations and develops model rules for adoption as ABA policy. Kremski, Staff Counsel to the State Bar of Michigan Client Protection Fund and Unauthorized Practice of Law Committees, has been with the Bar since 1999.
