Volunteers are needed to help fill a phone bank on Law Day, Sunday, May 1, to answer general legal questions from Lansing-area residents.

The State Bar of Michigan, along with the Ingham County Bar Association and Legal Services of South Central Michigan, are sponsoring the noon to 6 p.m. event to help publicize Law Day and to promote the legal profession.

Attorneys, who will remain anonymous to callers, are asked to give general legal information and honest, helpful advice. Each volunteer attorney will be asked to take phone calls for two hours.
