Senator Hansen H. Clarke (center) of Detroit was one of 13 lawyer-legislators who attended a special Summit for Section and Committee leadership on March 3, 2005 at the State Bar. State Bar President Nancy Diehl and SBM Executive Director John Berry presented each legislator a framed copy of the March cover of the Michigan Bar Journal featuring the 21 lawyer-legislators of the 93rd State Legislature. Lawyer-legislators make up 14 percent of the 148 total members of the current legislature.

State Bar President Nancy Diehl presented State Representative William Van Regenmorter with an SBM sweatshirt at the conclusion of his presentation to participants of the State Bar's March 3 Summit for Section and Committee leadership.
