Will and Trust Kit Seminar Slated for September 14 in Livonia

"Living Trusts: Right for You?" This question will be posed to seniors and others at a workshop at the Livonia Civic Center Library, Wednesday September 14. Representatives from the State Bar of Michigan, AARP Michigan, Cooley Law School 60+ Elder Law Clinic, the Attorney General's Office and the Office of Financial and Insurance Services will help seniors to tell the difference between an estate plan and a sales pitch. Some topics to be covered at the session from 10 a.m. to noon will include:

  • What you are not told about living trusts
  • Sales tactics to watch out for when considering an estate plan
  • Annuities sales
  • Decision making tools; tips for making wise planning choices

There is no charge to attend and the workshop is open to all. The Livonia Civic Center Library is located at 32777 Five Mile Road. Registration is required. Please call Barb Danes at 1-866-227-7448 to register.
