The State Bar of Michigan mourns the passing of Gerald R. Ford, 38th President of the United States, a member of the State Bar of Michigan for 55 years. Speaking on behalf of all Michigan lawyers, State Bar President Kimberly M. Cahill remarked, “President Ford was a Michigan man through and through, and Michigan citizens recognized in his integrity, humility, humor, dedication, and common sense the characteristics that define the best of us. The State Bar of Michigan is proud to have claimed him as a member.”
