State Bar President Tom Cranmer (left) was master of ceremonies at the event that attracted over 100 people. Former Detroit mayor Dennis Archer (center) and Hamilton Smith, the elder brother of honoree Otis Smith, were speakers. Other speakers were: Olivia Maynard, a regent at the University of Michigan, David Collins, executive director of Corporate Compliance - General Motors and, the Hon. Justice Marilyn Kelly from the Michigan Supreme Court. The plaque dedication was the 31st undertaken by the State Bar Public Outreach Committee as part of its Michigan Legal Milestone program.
